Crochet Dinosaur Hat Pattern

Dinosaur Crochet Hat

9mm hook- Hat will fit 4-8 years old depending

Chain 4 join with a slip stitch to form ring

Chain 2

Round 1-

9 Double crochets in ring

(Place stitch marker and adjust it with each new round)

Round 2-

2 double crochets in each stitch around

(including the chain 2 space)

Round 3-

1 double crochet in the first stitch,

 2 double crochets in the second stitch repeat around

Round 4-

1 double crochet in the first two stitches,

 2 double crochets in the 3rd stitch,

repeat around.

Round 5- ?

1 double crochet in each stitch

around until the hat is the length you want it

slip stitch and tie off, sew in loose strings

make triangles for the spikes

6.5mm hook

Chain 8 (adjust depending on how big you want the spikes)

Double crochet in the 3rd chain from hook and across (6 stitches)

chain 2 turn

skip first stitch and double crochet across

chain 2 turn

skip first stitch and double crochet across….repeat until you have 1 stitch and a triangle

Double crochet around the triangle making 3 double crochets on each corner

(MAKE 2 FOR EACH SPIKE, MAKE AS MANY SPIKES AS YOU WANT ON THE HAT)

Stuff each spike with yarn, or fiberfill stuffing to whatever you would like  and stitch on to the hat.
